You Asked, We Built: CEO.CA's Summer Update
I'm going to start doing this every month or two. A plain rundown of what changed on the site, what got fixed, and what we're working on. You post here every day, so you should know what's happening behind the scenes. Here's May through September.
CEO Plus
The biggest thing we've launched in years. Plus is the data layer CEO.CA has needed for a long time, built right into the site you already use.
The private placement tracker shows free-trade dates and countdowns on every company page, plus a calendar of what's unlocking across the market. You can see the paper coming before it hits the bid. SEDI insider filings are tracked automatically, by person and by company, with holdings over time, so nobody has to dig through SEDI by hand. Sentiment and channel analytics put comment volume, page visits and sentiment score side by side so you can tell real momentum from forum noise. And as of July, drill holes (more below).

Drill holes
In July we added a drill hole database and rankings for Plus and Pro members. Every hole gets a significance score, so a real intercept stands out from a headline. One of you caught the calculator dropping the gold grade on a copper-gold hole and understating the result. That's fixed. Keep your feedback coming!
Paid channels
As of the end of August, anyone can run a paid private channel on CEO.CA. Set your own monthly price and members subscribe through the site. If you've been running a newsletter or a Discord on the side, you can do it here, where the discussion already is. Your subscriptions are managed under settings (note access via web browser not mobile to see subscriptions).
Announcements instead of spam
Some of you were tired of seeing me post about the stock picking contest and CEO Plus in your company channels. Fair. There's now a bell at the top right of the page. Site news goes there and only there, and your stock channels stay about the stock.
Fixes and smaller stuff
Watchlists had a bug going back years where a dropped connection mid-save could wipe your entire list. That's gone. You can drag uncategorized items again and they stay in the order you put them.
Pro members are now anonymous on every public page, not just inside stock channels. Channel owners can edit the info section on their own channels. You can change your email address in account settings, with a verification email so nobody else can. Plus and Pro members get private notes on watchlist rows and company pages, saved to your account and visible only to you.
The private placements button works in the app and a self-correcting PP engine is in place activated by user flagging on PP pages. Search on user profiles works again. Handles ending in a dash no longer break your profile page. A batch of SEDAR and SEDI issues where filings landed on the wrong channel after a symbol change got a bulk fix, with more work to do there. The Daily Mining Dispatch signup is in the footer. And the house rules now include an AI policy: use the tools, disclose it, and don't post raw slop.
What's next
A cleaner signup and payment flow. Too many people hit friction paying for Pro or Plus, and some ended up with two accounts. That's on us and it's at the top of the list.
Symbol changes. When a company changes its ticker, the old and new channels should not each hold half the history. We're working out how to merge them properly.
A simpler watchlist layout with fewer clicks.
Better tools for the mods against bots and serial account creators.
A drill holes home page with a global feed of new results.
Android app improvements, image uploads first.
A referral program for Plus.
Where this is going
The new CEO.CA isn't finished, there are bugs we're still chasing. But the team is shipping updates nearly every day, and almost everything in this post started as a complaint in a channel, a DM to me, or a note from one of the mods.
