A regulator reversing a cancelled exploration licence sent a European antimony explorer sharply higher on Monday, as four more years of tenure replaced nearly five months of legal uncertainty. With Europe relying heavily on imported antimony, a metal used in flame retardants, batteries and munitions, secure title to a defined deposit carries strategic weight.

Shares of Military Metals Corp. (CSE: MILI) (OTCQB: MILIF), a British Columbia-based antimony explorer, rose Monday after Slovak authorities extended the exploration licence for its flagship Trojárová Antimony-Gold Project for four years, to October 18, 2030. The extension follows the annulment of a May decision that had cancelled the licence.

Slovakia's Ministry of the Environment cancelled the licence on May 28 after an unscheduled review, and the company appealed. On October 2 it received a decision annulling the cancellation and reinstating the licence, but with a term that would have expired October 18, 2026. Trojárová hosts an inferred resource of 6.5Mt grading 1.02% antimony and 1.06 g/t gold, containing about 67Kt of antimony and 222Koz of gold. Inferred is the lowest-confidence resource category, and the licence covers exploration, not mining.

"Europe has significant antimony supply-chain exposure because it lacks meaningful domestic mine production," said CEO Scott Eldridge. The company has started talks with Slovakia's Ministry of Economy on the path from exploration to a full mining and production authorisation, and plans to set up a local advisory board for communities and authorities.

Next catalysts include progress in those authorisation talks, formation of the advisory board and discussions with EU representatives on Trojárová's potential role under the European Critical Raw Materials Act.

Shares of MILI were up 22.5% on the CSE to C$0.245 on volume of about 941,000 shares, while MILIF gained 24.5% on the OTCQB to US$0.17 on about 130,000 shares.
