We are joined by Bruce Counts, President & CEO of Storm Exploration, for a corporate update as the company prepares to begin its first drill program at the Gold Standard Project in northwestern Ontario. In this interview, we discuss Storm's recent financings, including a $2 million investment from Eric Sprott, who has become the company's largest shareholder, and how approximately $5 million raised this summer positions Storm to advance its exploration portfolio. Bruce provides an update on Gold Standard, where the company is preparing a 2,000 to 3,000 metre drill program targeting a roughly 5-kilometre-long conductive trend interpreted as a potential volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system. We discuss the geological, geophysical and surface exploration work that has strengthened the target, including VLF-EM, mapping, LiDAR and the identification of copper and zinc sulphides along the trend. We also discuss what Storm hopes to learn from its first drill holes, how the results could help the team vector within the potential VMS system, and plans to advance the Kézik and Attwood projects toward drill-ready status for 2027.
