Storm Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:STRM) has officially commenced drilling at its Gold Standard Project in northwestern Ontario, marking the first drill test of an extensive copper-zinc exploration target. We are joined by Bruce Counts, President & CEO of Storm Exploration, for a breaking news update from the project site to discuss the drill program, the geological evidence behind the target, and what the company hopes to establish in this initial phase of exploration. Storm plans to complete up to 10 diamond drill holes totalling approximately 1,500 metres before departing the project on September 27 to accommodate the First Nations' traditional moose hunt. The program will focus on the north-south limb of a conductivity anomaly extending more than 5 kilometres in total strike length. Drill locations have been selected using a combination of VLF electromagnetic survey data, surface geology, structural information and observed copper-zinc sulphide mineralization. We also discuss Storm's recently closed C$3.2 million private placement, including a C$2 million investment from Eric Sprott, additional participation from European and Canadian investors, and the company's capital structure of fewer than 36 million shares outstanding following the financing. With an estimated drill program budget of C$750,000 to C$1 million, Storm expects to review the geology following completion of drilling before determining its next steps.
